Since foundation, we have donated over 10,000 volunteer hours for STEM events across the state of Texas. Our organization was originally founded by four FRC alumni to help students volunteer at the events that sparked their interest in engineering. We have since expanded on what we do as a student organization, but continue to encourage our members volunteer their time at events to inspire young students to enter into STEM.
Our members donate their time as volunteers with FIRST in Texas - a non-profit organization dedicated to hosting robotics competitions for k-12 students. This has entailed helping organize the Texas State UIL, running the Howdy Qualifier and Expo, and volunteering at various events across the state of Texas.
MOBILE MACHINE SHOP
We have worked closely with the Fisher Design Center's mobile machine shop as part of our volunteer work with FIRST in Texas. As a part of this initiative, we helped High School teams across the state of Texas become more competitive in the FIRST Robotics Competition.
HOWDY QUALIFIER AND EXPO
In 2018, we partnered with Texas A&M and Fungineering to run an FLL qualifying event in College Station. This event had elementary students from across Brazos County compete to qualify for the state championship event. We're incredibly proud of our former officer, Claire Rowan, for receiving the Outstanding Volunteer award for all of the effort she put into this competition on behalf of the organization.
